(Unfortunately Eddie was from a time and place where there was barely any education available as far as other cultures went. He wasn't completely oblivious, but the sword sitting in front of him doesn't resonate as much as it ought to- though he does think it's pretty. He isn't so sure if he's allowed to touch it, the same way he never was sure if he was allowed to touch guns, so he doesn't, and instead just admires it quietly.
