For someone like Majima, it was more like those pathways had been permanently damaged. What was safe when someone pulling a knife on you on the way to work became routine?

He nodded to Jake's silent question and slipped through the door and into a small office building, which had once held several businesses by the looks of things. The first office appeared to be that of a bank or insurance company, still filled with stacks of papers and desks and a few long-dead potted plants.
