(Wasn't there though? Eddie certainly was fond of the boys in his life who were outrageously capable. The kind who yanked him out of harm's way and were total hero types. It was easy to get star-eyed or otherwise over that kind of thing.

He's the Lone Ranger. He ran around with an Indian and a white horse and they did all this cool stuff. He had awesome like codes too. He'd be all "To have a friend, a man must be one" and stuff like that.
