i. Arrival

[When Raven wakes, she's alone. This is hardly unusual for her, but this isn't where she'd been. She's certain she'd fallen asleep in her old room at the Xavier mansion, left just the way she'd left it twenty years prior. Charles ever hopeful she might return one day.

But this room is something different. It's harsh. She gets up and looks around. Raven doesn't dare announce her presence in case she's been taken captive. Why let them know she's awake? This theory leaves her nearly as quickly as it forms as the door isn't locked. No one is on the other side. She keeps walking and then she's outside. Raven gets out of sight for a moment and changes shape to look human, blonde and unassuming. It's a city, but not one she recognizes. Raven's walks forward up a set of steps. No one is out here either. But her vision focuses on a large imposing tower at the center of the stairs she's walking up. It's beautiful but everything about this has her nerves on edge. Just as she reaches the top of the steps a red dust seems to come from all sides. Her hand goes to her face to cover it, but the dust gets up her nose and the taste of something metallic like blood hits her tongue.

She barely has the time to register that she's no longer in the same place before someone unknown is tackling her from behind. Crying out in surprise, more of the dust enters her mouth and she spits it out. Her instincts take over, turning to fight whomever is on top of her.

All her concentration and strength is needed for this fight, so there are no more disguises, no hiding what she is. The blue woman launches herself at her the man she shoves off her, letting out a cross between and battle cry and a growl. Raven doesn't want to kill. It's not a line she's ever crossed, not since she nearly murdered Trask. After that moment she's never allowed herself to reach that point again, no matter how much she hated someone. And she doesn't mean to reach that point now.

But they keep coming. One person out of the dust, then another, and another. She doesn't know them and they aren't saying anything. There's no slurs, no hate in their eyes, just the determination that its clear they mean to kill her. She knocks out one, but another manages to grab hold of her by the neck as she kicks off a another coming at her from the front.]

ii. Lightning

[Stuck and under constant fear of death by some unknown force. Raven is not ready to accept her fate in this place. There must be something they can do! She's been given a job, which she's no intention of ever doing. Sand path technician? Not happening. She's staying in the House 2 family room. It is more than a little lacking in privacy, which isn't a great situation for Raven, who's not much of a people person.

But something seems to come over her that night, sitting and sulking on her couch, she feels lighter. Maybe being here isn't so bad? Maybe she might make some friends? Maybe she could find someone to care for? Or let someone care for her? All she knows is that she really wants some companionship. An uncharacteristic smile graces her blue lips and Raven sets out, happily greeting any of her roommates before going for a stroll around the city. It seems like a glorious night for a walk.

[[ooc: I'm open to Raven being uncharacteristically friendly to your character, also protective of kids (especially mutant/powered ones!) she comes across, or generally flirty (adults only), but if you want to do anything else just PM me or hit me up at [plurk.com profile] owemeoneperogi]]

iii. The Case of the Missing Food Crates! Closed to Jupiter

[She will have to blame sheer boredom for agreeing to help find these missing food crates. Honestly she'd much prefer to keep to herself than do any sort of investigation that meant talking to other people and trying to suss out the truth like some small town detective. Food is important in this place and she certainly gets that, so ultimately she agrees to go along and help. She's not sure what to make of her partner just yet, other than the fact that she's young. She pulls out her device to type.]

Where did you want to start? We can start heading door to door? See if we get any leads?
