Besides, he knows a segue when he reads one and he knows better than to think either teen will just let go of the mystery he presents. Kurama would definitely rather be sitting down for that.]

And...you don't need to soften it with that 'almost'. I'm aware of how painfully blatant I was during that fight. I'm not sure how believable you may find my explanation, however.
