Honestly, yeah. Though really Eddie was more generalizing than taking actual claim, but it's a fair enough assumption.

Eddie considers the area around them with a frown. He steps back and places his hands on his hips. He regards the walls, and then outside, and then Charlie.

"I'm not really good at building, but I bet someone here could build you a stable where you could be more comfortable. Where you can keep food and water and stuff," he suggests. It has nothing to do with wanting Charlie out. Honestly, Eddie would be fine with attaching the stable to the house. It was more that he was empathetic enough that he didn't like the idea of this horse-creature not being happy.
