Yeah. It's really weird. Richie's really awesome though. Like, yeah, he can be a jerk, but I love him so whenever you meet him, make sure you don't make him overthink shit. He's dumb and totally will and will probably think he's like lesser than you or whatever.
(It's ...definitely oversharing, Eddie realizes this entirely, but he cares a hell of a lot more about Richie's feelings than he cares about seeming overinvested to some kid he barely knows. Richie was his best friend, and Eddie would gladly put himself on the chopping block to make sure he was okay. He knew how Richie's brain worked, and knew that he'd probably think dumb, incorrect things about this whole situation if left alone with it. Or if he's told the wrong stuff.
Once they're at the house, Eddie's a little grateful to see that he hadn't been lead off to some crack house. Not that Mike seemed dangerous, but you never know.)
