[Bill glances when his device lights up with the newest message. He recognizes Max's username, but rather than answer immediately he slips it into his pocket and goes looking for her. It isn't hard to find her in the kitchen, and Bill has already started to try and hoard food supplies from the greenhouse and elsewhere in there.
When he finds her looking for food, he crouches to open one of the lower cabinets and pulls out a carefully wrapped up loaf of dense bread from one of the natives and a jar of some kind of spiced peach preserves. He doesn't know how long anything will last here, but he used to make snacks for Georgie when Bill got home from school, and it feels familiar to offer to fall into that here.
He sets his device on the counter and glances over at her, the dark circles under his eyes a good indicator that he hasn't slept yet. With a slower speed, he types out a message for her.]
Want me to make you a sandwich?
Eddie and I have been trying to get together supplies for sound proofing. Maybe we should focus on one room at a time?
