1. Will you stay or will you go - open [Kilgrave listens attentively to everything the natives have to say in the town hall meeting. More and more he's feeling the urge to get out, which is probably not helped by the fact that he's spending most of his time trapped inside his own home. So when the natives offer up the chance to become a permanent member of the community, his answer is an immediate no. No way. He wants out and even after everything that has happened, the worst thing about this place is still the fact that he can't fucking leave.
As the community is given the chance to ponder their decision, he turns to the nearest adult and shakes his head in disbelief.]
Christ. Why would anyone want to stay here?
[NB. Kilgrave will not talk to children, as per his terms with Jessica.]
2. A missing child - closed to Mikoto [When one of the natives asks him to locate a missing child his first reaction is disbelief. He has literally been banned from talking to children. Is this some kind of sick test? Are they already setting him up to fail? The thought he'd had when he first arrived flickers through his mind again: that this is his own personal hell. Everything about this world seems designed to torment him. No one has said as much, but maybe the not knowing is part of the torture too.
Who the fuck knows. He never believed in an afterlife, but he's come back three times now so death is starting to feel pretty meaningless anyway.
Maybe there's a way he can turn this to his advantage. Save a child, do some good. Get the natives on his side.
He's assigned some guy he doesn't know as his supervising partner – though not one of the natives by the look of him. Kilgrave doesn't much care; he's glad to get some fresh air, even if it's chilly. They decide to go north, passing by the greenhouse. Kilgrave looks on ahead. He's aware that the sand paths don't go on much longer.]
Hope they didn't go off the path. It can't be much further here.
[He shows the message to Mikoto, expression grim. Why couldn't the stupid kid just have stayed at home?]
