001: silent adventures
[Backdated to January 15th - closed to Aaron Taylor]
[Sooner rather than later was the theme of the day, so after agreeing to reconvene at the front door in fifteen minutes, Tuan wanders over to the kitchen to grab a light snack of blueberries. econnaissance mission.
"Do Not Enter" has to mean the natives hiding something dangerous, valuable or both, right? She considers this for a bit, and after finishing her meal waits for Aaron by the door with her device in one hand and a kitchen knife in the other. When she spots Aaron, she types out:]
Do you think we'll need these?
[Charles Nicolle Hospital - Afternoon Jan 22nd -Jan 23rd - OTA!]
[Hospitals are such dreary places, Tuan decides. She hated them back home, and she doesn't like them any more in Reims either. In Japan the interiors were pristine and pastel pink - all calibrated to create an aritficial sense of well being - but this old building only seems to invite death to come just a little closer. Not that death has much meaning for her here.
She only has vague notions of what hospitals were like before the advent of medicules and WatchMe. Diseases had been all but eradicated and as a result, when she's looking through the medicine supply in the urgent care department, she has several bottles lined up on the counter. Calcium carbonate? Acetaminophen? Ibuprofen? Confusing.
While she's poking around surgical department, she brushes her fingers over the operating table and then decides to lie down with her eyes closed. Because that's totally normal and all.]

The Theater
Aaron isn't sure what they'll find but the mystery is worth the effort.]
You never know. Are you any good at climbing?
no subject
[Tuan peers at the theater from where they're standing, trying to gage roughly how easy or difficult it might be to scale. In the end, she's not sure.]
I've never climbed a building before. Jungle gyms I can do.
.... Don't laugh.
[Though it's dark outside, she's surprised that there are a fair number of natives still looming around the area. Not wanting to make an unnecessary spectacle of herself, she partially conceals the kitchen knife in her robe's sleeve.]
What do you think they're trying to hide that they're still so many of them out?
no subject
I have no idea. Maybe noisy things they are hiding away. Maybe the secret to why the sound eaters are here. Maybe a bunch of worse things they locked up and sealed away worse than the sound eaters.
[He waits until no one's looking and carefully tests how well the boards and the small nooks support his weight. He doesn't want wood to groan and strain. When no noise is heard he settles back on his feet.]
I bet we can climb this. Maybe there's a way in from above or a gap somewhere we can squeeze through. In the very least I just want to peek!
