I. [Spam - Open to Housemates/People Who Might Be Visiting]

[There's a huge box on the porch when she arrives home from her quiet maintenance duties and for a moment, she just stares at it. She approaches it with caution, poking it lightly with her left shoe. When nothing happens, she moves to kneel down beside it, carefully pulling the lid off and staring at the contents inside for a full moment, shock running through her.

Because right at the top lay her skateboard from home. Broken, but held together with gray tape. She wonders if she's hallucinating, but she reaches out and picks it up and when it doesn't crumble to dust, she hugs it to her chest. Tears prick her eyelids and she rolls her eyes at herself for getting so emotional over something so simple, but it's her board. And it's here, even if she can't actually use it.

After a long few moments, she carefully moves into the house, setting her board down on the couch and then hauling in the box to see what else is there.]

II. [Spam - Open to Steve Harrington]

[The moment she finds the bat, studded with nails, she knows exactly what to do with it. Who it belongs to. She has no clue why things are showing up here that are from home, but it's something she's relieved to see. She's seen Steve in action with it once before. There's not exactly a door to the family room, but she lingers in the door frame when she sees him sitting by the fireplace.

She lifts her hand in a wave to try and catch his attention, hiding the bat behind her back for the moment.]

I got a lot of stuff. A bunch of really nice clothes, some stuff for my hair and hygene, and I got this thing called an ipod that holds like literally THOUSANDS of songs and it has all this music from all time periods in it it's so COOL. And it came with this speaker thing? and some...weird..headphones that go IN your ears instead of around?

[Kara's embarrassed when she gets the message from Max. Geez Louise, she really messed that up, didn't she? Stupid Kilgrave. Once she'd woken up out of the haze of his control (again, because apparently she'll be doing it over and over and over again), she'd been devastated at how she'd acted around Max. Heck, she'd probably scared her. Max is just a kid! And superheroes shouldn't break down like that.

[Richie finds himself in the living room not long after Max discovers her skateboard. First things first, he didn't even know girls could skateboard, and this just makes Max seem even cooler.

He can't even contain his excitement; he's all silent yelling and waving limbs about it before he can even get his device out.]

[Max isn't scared, really. Just worried. She sort of adores Kara, and she just wants to make sure she's really okay.]

No, it's okay. It's not your fault at all. I just wanted to check on you. Do you need anything? I got an ice cream maker, and if I can find stuff to make ice cream, you could have some.

[She knows who he is, but as far as she knows, he doesn't know her and she wants to keep it that way. Still. Maybe she can gain a little information at least.]

Some of it, yeah. Sounds like you received some items from home too. What I'd like to know is how do they know who to deliver it to?

[ Which was exactly where he'd be when Max arrived, signing to a Reims native in a fishing hat. ]

[She shows up fifteen minutes later, hair actually brushed and pulled back in a ponytail thanks to her brush that had shown up, and one of the hair ties he'd found for her. She's wearing regular clothes, too -- a green hoodie with a t-shirt beneath it, a pair of jeans, and sneakers. She feels roughly a hundred times better than she had before this morning.

She lifts her hand in a wave when she's close enough, eyeing the native warily as she moves to Majima's side.]

[ As he accepted the rest of the equipment from the man, Majima smiled at Max. He held out one of the fishing poles to her, tilted his head in the direction of the river. ]

Hey. Let's see if we can catch anything.

[Max smiles back, nodding at him and reaching out to take one of the poles from him.]

What kind of fish did you catch last time?

Got an eel one time, and a carp. I bet there're actually more fish in there now than when the town was full of people -- less trash and all.

[ He walked along at an easy pace, pole braced on one shoulder while the other held the basket of supplies. ]

Say, your dad ever teach ya how to clean a fish after you hook one?

[She makes a face at the mention of the eel. She's never touched one, but she's pretty sure they're slimy. Yuck. His rationale makes sense, though, and she hopes he's right.]

No, my mom wouldn't let him.

[She rolls her eyes. If her mom had her way, Max wouldn't have gone fishing at all.]

Guess they do get squeamish about that kinda thing. But it ain't like supermarket fish don't come from the same place.

[ They were nearing the Seine now, where the water flowed past the pillars holding up the bridge, loud enough to make the sound of their fishing, at least. Majima set down the basket and popped it open. ]

They gave me some leftover bait, too, so we don't even have to dig. How's that for service? Guess chattin' them up paid off... figuratively speaking.

[ He took out a small plastic container with dirt inside. WHO LIKES WORMS? ]
