I. [Spam - Open to Housemates/People Who Might Be Visiting]

[There's a huge box on the porch when she arrives home from her quiet maintenance duties and for a moment, she just stares at it. She approaches it with caution, poking it lightly with her left shoe. When nothing happens, she moves to kneel down beside it, carefully pulling the lid off and staring at the contents inside for a full moment, shock running through her.

Because right at the top lay her skateboard from home. Broken, but held together with gray tape. She wonders if she's hallucinating, but she reaches out and picks it up and when it doesn't crumble to dust, she hugs it to her chest. Tears prick her eyelids and she rolls her eyes at herself for getting so emotional over something so simple, but it's her board. And it's here, even if she can't actually use it.

After a long few moments, she carefully moves into the house, setting her board down on the couch and then hauling in the box to see what else is there.]

II. [Spam - Open to Steve Harrington]

[The moment she finds the bat, studded with nails, she knows exactly what to do with it. Who it belongs to. She has no clue why things are showing up here that are from home, but it's something she's relieved to see. She's seen Steve in action with it once before. There's not exactly a door to the family room, but she lingers in the door frame when she sees him sitting by the fireplace.

She lifts her hand in a wave to try and catch his attention, hiding the bat behind her back for the moment.]

I got a lot of stuff. A bunch of really nice clothes, some stuff for my hair and hygene, and I got this thing called an ipod that holds like literally THOUSANDS of songs and it has all this music from all time periods in it it's so COOL. And it came with this speaker thing? and some...weird..headphones that go IN your ears instead of around?

[Kara's embarrassed when she gets the message from Max. Geez Louise, she really messed that up, didn't she? Stupid Kilgrave. Once she'd woken up out of the haze of his control (again, because apparently she'll be doing it over and over and over again), she'd been devastated at how she'd acted around Max. Heck, she'd probably scared her. Max is just a kid! And superheroes shouldn't break down like that.

So... time to apologize. Grin and bear it, Danvers.]

[Max isn't scared, really. Just worried. She sort of adores Kara, and she just wants to make sure she's really okay.]

No, it's okay. It's not your fault at all. I just wanted to check on you. Do you need anything? I got an ice cream maker, and if I can find stuff to make ice cream, you could have some.

[Max is the sweetest thing, and Kara is just raw enough still that that offer makes her eyes sting. but she's cried enough to last an eternity. ugh!]

[Richie finds himself in the living room not long after Max discovers her skateboard. First things first, he didn't even know girls could skateboard, and this just makes Max seem even cooler.

He can't even contain his excitement; he's all silent yelling and waving limbs about it before he can even get his device out.]

[She sees the doubletake he does when he spots the skateboard and when he starts flailing around she can't help but grin.]

I got a box days ago. In mine was a flight suit, boots and a bottle of brandy. All things I'm familiar with. What did you get with yours?

Most of it was random stuff that could be for anyone, but some of my clothes and my skateboard were in the box.

I don't know if I'd call it "random stuff," but I did receive my usual clothing from home, which I'm certainly grateful for. Those jumpsuits weren't very tasteful at all.

[She wonders what makes the natives decide to give certain people new houses. She doesn't need one - she's okay where she is - but she is curious.]

Is it like this in other places you've been? Where some of your stuff just...shows up?

[ things have been.....weird. weird is a safe word to use for it. weird he can deal with, understand, handle. life at home was weird, and scary, and that could be said for here, too. but what steve doesn't think he was quite ready for was the silence of it. the complete and total lack of sound, and the necessity for it. it gets under steve skin, and has been settled there since that first day.

sleep doesn't come easy, waking doesn't come easy, but he gets up and he does what he can and he goes through the motions.

but it also leaves too much time for him to just kind of. zone out. which is what he'd been doing until that creeping feeling of someone is watching breaks him out of his haze, jerking around to see....max. he opens his mouth - a habit he's still having issues with - before closing it again. waving back and shifting back from where he's sitting to, hopefully, make it obvious he's fine with her coming in if she wants to. it might be 'his room' but it's also still the family room, so. ]

[She seems him move a little after he waves and she takes it as permission for her to come in, so she does. She gives him a faint smile, pulling out her device and typing in a quick message.]

Not to sound like a cliche, but I come bearing gifts. Well, gift.
