It's early in the day when it happens. The red dust that seems to be everywhere sweeps through the city streets, mixing with the steady patter of rain and making it hard to see and breathe. All red and leaving the taste of copper if inhaled, what could have been an easy day without any trouble quickly becomes anything but. While those in the community are heading for cover or finding ways to continue on through it, the new arrivals begin waking up in different cities all over the world. There won't be anyone to greet them, and leaving the room through the door is their choice - after doing so, they'll immediately step out into the city they were assigned. The streets are empty, houses abandoned, everything crumbling and in ruins. There will be signs noting their location, which they'll catch a glimpse of before a sharp push forward causes darkness to engulf them.

Waking up for the second time, in Reims but not in the Reset Room, they'll come to inside the red dust as it whips through the streets of the community. They won't be alone for long. Another person will be waking up beside them, and after a few moments of disorientation, try to attack. They might have weapons or use their hands, and they will not stop until they've taken a fatal blow. Their blood is dust, and they, along with their weapons, disintegrate after they've died. Can you stop them on your own? Will someone come to your aid?

The day after the storm, the same red dust will find its way through Reims and come into contact with every person. Since the dust is everywhere, some might not notice that it's floating through the community and know that something is off. The effects don't begin until night fall, where everyone will feel the desire to seek out companionship of many different kinds. Though it is not always the case, the people that saw each other in color will "want" to be with that person more strongly than they might already, and will be more likely to confess or do something about it. Some might feel an intense need to be around another person, though not necessarily sexually - almost as if they need that person around them to be happy or content. For some, it might be a desire that can only be fulfilled by more than one person.

The effects wear off the next time the person gets wet. This can be a splash of water across the face or fully submerged. Or even drinking something.

Firstly, wasn't sure if this should go here or at Lamar's ending, so I apologize if this is the wrong place.

Secondly, one of Kylo Ren's abilities would enable to mentally extract information from a person. So, should Lamar be captured and should he be able to have a crack at him, is there anything he would be able to learn from him?

Okie dokie. So far we've settled on the fact that Lamar will be captured (specifics to be determined but I'm sure it's a safe bet there will be knocks and plenty of bruises) and taken to Jessica Jones' jail where Kylo Ren will interrogating him, while Alex cranks up his fear to make getting through any mental defenses easier.

So, what kind of information would they be able to get out of Lamar during the course of the interrogation?

Will the dust in the dust storm in the arrival prompt have any of the previous effects on characters? Since Tony is going to be running around in it just want to know if he needs to be chugging water like it's the latest fad laughs.

1) What would Zero be able to sense from them (in terms of if they give off a human presence)? Do they have a pulse at all?

2) Do they react to pain? If yes, how?

Hi! Normal human readings and they do have a pulse. They do react to pain, like a human might and it influences them to attack with more fervor.

Would Lamar ping as human or something supernatural to those who can sense that kind of thing? And I remember his speed and strength was mentioned, but are we talking strong and fast for a human, or on the supernatural level?

Just average speed and strength, nothing on a supernatural level! Lamar would ping as human.

hi it's me with a random question that just struck me at 2:30AM

thomas is part of the team that's supposed to sweep the dust off the sand paths. iirc, the sound eaters literally crawled out of the dust almost like it was a portal in the video footage from a while ago that's been posted on the bulletin board.

juuust out of curiosity, if thomas and his team partner were to sweep the dust into a large enough pile... and then stepped into it... would anything happen? or am i thinking too much at 2:30 in the morning? like is the red dust possible-portal-thing only accessible by sound eaters? does this have nothing to do with anything at all? can you believe it's not butter?

Jess meant to ask this at the meeting at the beginning of March but OOCly I dropped the ball, so she has a question and then I have a question about her question! Jess would ask an NPC if there has ever been an attempt to destroy the Reset Room(s). That's question one! Question two is that, considering she tends not to trust any answers they give her anyway: Could she ask the same of Lamar? Either to corroborate the answer she would have received on this log or, if it's too late to back-handwave that (which is understandable), to get that info for a first time from him? Seeing as he's holed up in her priz for a lil bit.

Hi! The natives have never tried to destroy the Reset Room. Lamar wouldn’t have been at the meeting but, if that group assigned Lamar are okay with it then she could ask them while they’re in the prison! Lamar wouldn’t be any more likely to admit to anything but they’ve never tried to destroy the Reset Room either.
