As noted on the ooc plotting post, this prompt is in the form of a Network Post via the native who runs the Bulletin Board. The post can be found here. Out of the five separate teams, all groups decided to share the footage they found. On the morning of the first, the footage will go live as a compilation in order of oldest to newest. Character's devices will update at the same time. The weather is overcast and sullen, befitting the news, and characters can talk to each other on the network post or play out their reactions on the log here.

On the morning of the second, the locals will call a meeting at town hall. All soundproofing and partnering rules apply - find a person and help soundproof the area. This is so that everyone can speak during the meeting. The found footage has unsettled the natives and after the community takes a seat, Constance will share some interesting backstory. As one of the oldest members of the community, Constance wasn't alive when the Sound Eaters first came but she heard stories from her great grandmother. The 'tales' have taken twists and turns over time, leaving the survivors with a watered down version of events that amounts to - they came and everyone had to be quiet.

An elderly native will come forward and admit that they arrived through the Reset Room when they were a teenager and have been living there ever since. They tried to get home and they could never find away. Most interestingly, to those that listen closely to his story, is that he came with a sibling who was killed by a Sound Eater and wasn't Reset. Yet, he's known people to come through the Reset Room, die, and come back. Piping up from the background, another local mentions that those born in the world they're in now (natives) aren't reset when they die. It's not something they have any real understanding of. Arrivals tend to disappear at random times, stay in the community, or leave; those that choose to depart and explore the world never make it very far. Whether this is from Sound Eaters alone or someone or something else, the natives don't know. It's obvious they are frightened and don't go beyond what they know is safe.

The natives will now ask the characters if they will stay as permanent members of the community. If they choose to, they will be given the option to take on an apartment that is completely soundproofed, furnished, and will be accepted completely by the natives. This can open up doors for characters to become important parts of the community. No character has to agree to become permanent members. If a character chooses not to, the arrangement they're in will stay the same until a few months from now when the natives ask again. Arrivals are given the chance to talk to one another so that they can decide and digest the new information. There is also a comment below to ask the natives questions 'in front of' the entire community.

ooc: Players have until apps close this upcoming round to comment to the housing page saying that their character chose to be permanent members and are taking an apartment. The apartment is located closer to the Reset Room and are either one or two bedrooms; please note which one your character is taking.

The native Constance, who hands out the devices, has decided to step back from a leadership role and has submitted the names of those that she believes could lead the group better than she has. Please vote responsibly. During dinner, a group meal prepared and served in the town hall, slips of paper will be passed around with a pencil for everyone to vote. They will be anonymous unless the person chooses to share out loud who they voted for. There won't be much time for campaigning, but candidates are allowed to do so if they'd like - either handwaved or through their own posts/top-levels.

[He drops his hand, a little disappointed. But she's not storming off. That's something.]

You've been avoiding me. It's about time we caught up, don't you think?

[It's not quite an order, but he's still expecting her to answer him.]

[Faith is scanning around them, eyeing escape routes, considering if there's anyone else around she can seek help from to get him away from her. She could also reach out and grab him keep his mouth shut before he tells her to do anything and she has to find out for certain if the vaccine works... fuck, her head hurts.]

Of course I've been avoiding you. Take the hint. What do we even have to 'catch up' about? Shouldn't you still be locked up?

[kiljoy]

[He shakes his head.]

Important meeting like this one, everyone has to attend.

[And he's got someone watching him, though Kilgrave won't point that out. He doesn't like being minded. And don't think he doesn't notice her looking around. His voice becomes a little sharper.]

Look at me, Faith. [He jerks a thumb over towards where Constance was talking, switching back to a more conversational tone.] What do you think of this offer?

[rockypath]

[When he orders her it makes her head feel even foggier. Like maybe... maybe she could fight the order if she tried hard enough, beat through the urge. But she can't let him know it. Her eyes dutifully snap to his face.]

Not sure yet. The natives are lying dicks. But... I think I might take them up on the offer though. Become a part of the town. [Might feel nice to belong.]

[kiljoy]

Why?

[It's obvious from the way he says it that he can't believe anyone would accept this offer. Who would want to be part of this shitty town?]

[rockypath]

Why not? [She shoot right back. What else is there to do? Head off and make their own shitty town?]

Because this is a haunted shithole where you can't so much as sneeze without risk of dying. Come on. Do you really have so little back home that this seems like the better option?

[His tone is incredulous. Is her life really that bad?]

[rockypath]

[She really didn't have much to go back to, to be perfectly honest. She misses Angel. Everyone else, she's not really missing. Faith's pretty sure none of them will miss her. Faith tries to fight off a slight bought of nausea brought on by the vaccine. Being around him is making her feel like shit.] Look. If we can find a way back, it's not like these jokers can force me to stay. If you agree to move into a town it's not like they strap you down and force you to never leave. I know these sorts of things can get confusing for you.

[kiljoy]

Nothing confusing about it. We're trapped here, that doesn't mean we have to accept it.

[He shrugs. Clearly they disagree and there's no point in making her agree with him. It'll only wear off in twenty four hours and he doesn't care that much anyway. Besides, this does segue nicely into a change of subject... He tilts his head slightly.]

Still, I suppose it's not all bad. It means you and I still get to see each other.

[And if they hadn't been brought here, they would never have met. So there's a positive.]

[rockypath]

There's accepting. And there's making the most of a shit situation. [Faith feels a chill up her spine at his next words, blinking a bit. God her head hurts. Maybe its the vaccine or it's simply that being around him in general is making her want to vomit. She hates how he's made her. Confused. Unsure of her own thoughts. Scared. That's the worst one, truly.] Speak for yourself. I'd rather not be seeing you right now.

Now you know that's not true. You promised, remember.

[He says it like she should know what he's talking about, like it's obvious. He expects her to come around, sooner rather than later. To win her over.]

[Faith glares at him.] Oh, no. I promised, did I? In that case... [Without another word, she walks away.]

[There's a quick pace in her step to get out of his earshot and cover her ears, in case the vaccine didn't work. Still playing hard to get, it seems.]

[He almost moves to grab her. He almost calls her back. He has to stop himself from doing both of those things, remembering where he is and that he's liable to attract unwanted attention. So Kilgrave stares after her, then shrugs, turning away. She heard what he said. She can't deny it. He'll be back to haunt her later.]
