Now we're back to the beginning

As noted on the ooc plotting post, this prompt is in the form of a Network Post via the native who runs the Bulletin Board. The post can be found here. Out of the five separate teams, all groups decided to share the footage they found. On the morning of the first, the footage will go live as a compilation in order of oldest to newest. Character's devices will update at the same time. The weather is overcast and sullen, befitting the news, and characters can talk to each other on the network post or play out their reactions on the log here.

On the morning of the second, the locals will call a meeting at town hall. All soundproofing and partnering rules apply - find a person and help soundproof the area. This is so that everyone can speak during the meeting. The found footage has unsettled the natives and after the community takes a seat, Constance will share some interesting backstory. As one of the oldest members of the community, Constance wasn't alive when the Sound Eaters first came but she heard stories from her great grandmother. The 'tales' have taken twists and turns over time, leaving the survivors with a watered down version of events that amounts to - they came and everyone had to be quiet.
An elderly native will come forward and admit that they arrived through the Reset Room when they were a teenager and have been living there ever since. They tried to get home and they could never find away. Most interestingly, to those that listen closely to his story, is that he came with a sibling who was killed by a Sound Eater and wasn't Reset. Yet, he's known people to come through the Reset Room, die, and come back. Piping up from the background, another local mentions that those born in the world they're in now (natives) aren't reset when they die. It's not something they have any real understanding of. Arrivals tend to disappear at random times, stay in the community, or leave; those that choose to depart and explore the world never make it very far. Whether this is from Sound Eaters alone or someone or something else, the natives don't know. It's obvious they are frightened and don't go beyond what they know is safe.
The natives will now ask the characters if they will stay as permanent members of the community. If they choose to, they will be given the option to take on an apartment that is completely soundproofed, furnished, and will be accepted completely by the natives. This can open up doors for characters to become important parts of the community. No character has to agree to become permanent members. If a character chooses not to, the arrangement they're in will stay the same until a few months from now when the natives ask again. Arrivals are given the chance to talk to one another so that they can decide and digest the new information. There is also a comment below to ask the natives questions 'in front of' the entire community.
ooc: Players have until apps close this upcoming round to comment to the housing page saying that their character chose to be permanent members and are taking an apartment. The apartment is located closer to the Reset Room and are either one or two bedrooms; please note which one your character is taking.

The native Constance, who hands out the devices, has decided to step back from a leadership role and has submitted the names of those that she believes could lead the group better than she has. Please vote responsibly. During dinner, a group meal prepared and served in the town hall, slips of paper will be passed around with a pencil for everyone to vote. They will be anonymous unless the person chooses to share out loud who they voted for. There won't be much time for campaigning, but candidates are allowed to do so if they'd like - either handwaved or through their own posts/top-levels.

Even if Akira asked at the minute, Sora wouldn't be able to respond with a whole lot of detail. Plus the other teen would have to question the credibility of his claims when dosed with a sedative.
Perhaps the natives were on to something because when the other touches him, Sora doesn't even flinch at the sudden contact. Not like he had on the first night when everyone was so handsy with him.
He should probably be wary considering the last time a "friend" had put him to sleep. It had resulted in Sora landing in prison and being tortured at the hands of a bunch of scientists. But the drugs have a strong hold on him already.
Sora is almost no help in moving across the room, just enough that Akira doesn't have to drag him but hey, the Keyblade Wielder is small and fairly light.]

He sighs very softly but manages to keep it down as he makes his way to the nearby cot. After easing Sora down onto it, he kneels to rest a hand on the other young man's shoulder.
With a tired expression, he pulls the blankets over Sora. For now... he can rest. Akira will be hanging around him for a moment, making sure no bad effects are happening? Because ugh... some people sure are reacting negatively to this. Assuming Sora's just going to be out, he'll be tending to all his newest patients - including the drugged one, since he's going to be washing his face with a cool, damn cloth at one point - are all tended to.
After all is taken care of, he'll be sitting on the floor next to Sora's cot... ]

Xi doesn't hesitate to jump up onto the cot next to him and settle in - her eyes on the rest of the clinic like she's Sora's protector while he sleeps. Which she technically is.
But Sora doesn't have problems with the sedative so Akira is free to leave him where he lies. Though he may feel someone watching him a great deal throughout the whole thing and looking over will reveal Xi is often focused in his direction but also looks at the other patients from time to time.
It's especially noticeable when Akira comes to sit next to Sora. As if she's expecting danger to suddenly appear -- from Akira.
Sora finally comes out of his sleep-coma, rolling to put a hand on Xi's back as if to comfort her and the intensity of her gaze is broken.]
Hey. [Quietly and groggy. Ugh, he feels terrible.]

[ It's spoken softly, gently. Clearly he isn't insulted by her protective nature, and he simply leans forward a little. He exhales softly, quietly waiting. Once Sora wakes up, he tilts his head again to look at the other young man. ]
Morning... [ a small smile ] How are you feeling?

Like I could sleep for a year. [It's a joke but Akira doesn't know he has.] Note to self: don't eat the natives free food.

... Guess I don't have too much room to talk, there, but this is a situation where people could die from something like being drugged.

Someone started to talk... and then they nearly collapsed. And if they had died because that man had us drugging everyone...
[ The tone he's using is carrying a bit of obvious anger. His eyes are narrowed. ]

[Rubs at his face. Sora has seen people die - strangers, friends, people he loves.]
Glad that didn't happen though. It's bad watching people die.
[Leaves a mark on them. He won't ever forget the first person he saw die.]

[ Though, is it possible to eventually become numb to death, to some extent? He doesn't want to ask Sora about this, since... well. Regardless, he... is maybe even beginning to see that some part of him has already started to feel that way. Or maybe he's just over-thinking it.
One hand reaches up, fingers stiffly twisting a strand of his bangs. ]
