As noted on the ooc plotting post, this prompt is in the form of a Network Post via the native who runs the Bulletin Board. The post can be found here. Out of the five separate teams, all groups decided to share the footage they found. On the morning of the first, the footage will go live as a compilation in order of oldest to newest. Character's devices will update at the same time. The weather is overcast and sullen, befitting the news, and characters can talk to each other on the network post or play out their reactions on the log here.

On the morning of the second, the locals will call a meeting at town hall. All soundproofing and partnering rules apply - find a person and help soundproof the area. This is so that everyone can speak during the meeting. The found footage has unsettled the natives and after the community takes a seat, Constance will share some interesting backstory. As one of the oldest members of the community, Constance wasn't alive when the Sound Eaters first came but she heard stories from her great grandmother. The 'tales' have taken twists and turns over time, leaving the survivors with a watered down version of events that amounts to - they came and everyone had to be quiet.

An elderly native will come forward and admit that they arrived through the Reset Room when they were a teenager and have been living there ever since. They tried to get home and they could never find away. Most interestingly, to those that listen closely to his story, is that he came with a sibling who was killed by a Sound Eater and wasn't Reset. Yet, he's known people to come through the Reset Room, die, and come back. Piping up from the background, another local mentions that those born in the world they're in now (natives) aren't reset when they die. It's not something they have any real understanding of. Arrivals tend to disappear at random times, stay in the community, or leave; those that choose to depart and explore the world never make it very far. Whether this is from Sound Eaters alone or someone or something else, the natives don't know. It's obvious they are frightened and don't go beyond what they know is safe.

The natives will now ask the characters if they will stay as permanent members of the community. If they choose to, they will be given the option to take on an apartment that is completely soundproofed, furnished, and will be accepted completely by the natives. This can open up doors for characters to become important parts of the community. No character has to agree to become permanent members. If a character chooses not to, the arrangement they're in will stay the same until a few months from now when the natives ask again. Arrivals are given the chance to talk to one another so that they can decide and digest the new information. There is also a comment below to ask the natives questions 'in front of' the entire community.

ooc: Players have until apps close this upcoming round to comment to the housing page saying that their character chose to be permanent members and are taking an apartment. The apartment is located closer to the Reset Room and are either one or two bedrooms; please note which one your character is taking.

The native Constance, who hands out the devices, has decided to step back from a leadership role and has submitted the names of those that she believes could lead the group better than she has. Please vote responsibly. During dinner, a group meal prepared and served in the town hall, slips of paper will be passed around with a pencil for everyone to vote. They will be anonymous unless the person chooses to share out loud who they voted for. There won't be much time for campaigning, but candidates are allowed to do so if they'd like - either handwaved or through their own posts/top-levels.

[Kamala's face softens with sympathy. Aamir is annoying, but she loves him. Being away from him for years would destroy her. This girl must be really tough to handle that kind of grief, she thinks. She needs to help her stay that way by being encouraging. It's what Ammi, her mother, would do.]

You'll find a way back to each other. That's what families do.

[There's far much grief inside her than having missed Jon. Far worse wounds that will never heal and family she'll never see again no matter how hard she wished to.]

I hope you're right. I'd only just gotten back home to my other sister and brother... [She doesn't like showing her weakness. That part of her is indeed scared she'll never see them again after only just getting them back. Arya had begun to accept it in Braavos, that perhaps everyone she loved was dead. But being back in Winterfell had brought back something of herself, and along with it fears of the loss she's already thought accepted.]

I think I am if you managed to get back to them already. [It doesn't feel like giving her false hope. Even without knowing the details finding two out of three in a war zone is fairly impressive. Kamala's family tree was shaped by people fleeing conflicts, after all.]

I'm glad you got back to them.

Me too. [But she's not nearly so convinced she'll be able to get back. She wants to believe. But too much has happened to her that hope nearly seems a dangerous thing.]

You have family to get back to, as well? [The way she talks, Arya suspects so.]

[Kamala nods slowly. She doesn't even try to conceal her sadness. She never stops missing her parents and brother. Sure spending time with Frank helps and making new friends, but nothing replaces being their daughter and sister.] My parents and older brother. They can be overprotective and weird, but I love them so much. It's hard being apart from them. We've always been together even when we can't stand each other. It's not the same without them.

Yes, my sister and I have never really seen eye to eye. But when I finally was able to see her again. I didn't want to let that go. Or my brothers. I've already lost... [Perhaps she shouldn't say. She doesn't really want anyone's sympathy. She doesn't have time for it. So Arya settles on being vague.] I've lost too much already. I don't want to lose them too.

[morphogenia]

Maybe that's common for siblings. Movies are always telling me that siblings should fight. [Kamala can already tell they hit the sadness beat too much already. She's not here to bum people out about their circumstances. She puts on a smile and goes for a more positive topic.]

But, you probably don't want to think about that stuff. We should exchange names while it's easy! I'm Kamala. What's your name?

Movies? [Arya doesn't know what you're talking about Kamala, but instead of looking sad now she just looks confused. So that's an improvement...?]

I'm always thinking about it, whether I'm talking about it or not. [It's the truth. Her family is ever present on her mind as she's already lost too much.] My name's Arya. Arya Stark.

[Kamala instantly brightens up because reference to something she loves!!!] Oh wow! That's such a cool last name! Like Iron Man on my Earth!

[Wait wait backtrack.] Oh movies basically like plays if you could watch them at any time.

[Arya's head tilts. Iron Man. She's seen things sent by Tony's assistant. Of him in some kind of suit. But perhaps it's a coincidence? She's not sure. Kamala seems very excited about it though, so she can't help but smile back. Although she's really no idea why she's smiling. Seems the thing to do.] The Starks are one of the Great Houses in the Seven Kingdoms. [She's clearly very proud of this fact.

She's seen enough here that she can takes Kamala's explanation at face value although she doesn't quite understand it. Were it not for her experiences she would have thought Kamala mad.] What are some of these... 'movies' about? [The word sounds utterly ridiculous on her tongue but she soldiers through it.]

No way! So you have a royal name? Like you're royalty??? Because that's so cool! [Kamala raves without skipping a beat.]

Oh they can be about anything. Sometimes it's about love and revenge or something funny. The best ones are action movies where there are epic fights! Like with swords or kung fu.

I am high born, yes. I think I'm technically a Princess. My brother is King in the North. But I don't think of myself like that.[And that's a bizarre thought that makes her nose wrinkle.

She listens curious. It sounds interesting.] I like sword fights. I have a sword. What's a good movie with a sword fight? [Maybe she'll try and see if she can watch it.]

Oh that's legit. I have to say if I ever wanted to win an argument I'd probably use that to my advantage. Princesses are powerful.

[Kamala comments sagely. She's spent her life watching Disney movies. Of course she thinks that. Moving on, she gets really excited.] Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon! You have to see that one. The best sword fights are all between the female leads. It's so beautiful and epic!!

Most people know better than to try and argue with me. [She smiles a bit then. It's true, Arya is no nonsense when she's got an opinion. She'll tell you and that better be the end of it or you'll catch hell.

Her eyes brighten at the mention of dragons.] I'd really like to see it then. Are there dragons in it too? I've never seen a dragon. Only their skulls. [For as she's leery of Daenerys coming with Jon and what that alliance may hold, she's equally eager to see the woman's dragons first hand.]

See! Totally proves my point. [Kamala adds chipperly before beaming.] The dragon is actually a metaphor, but no worries! I totally know all the movies with dragons in them. They're super cool! BTW I'm jealous you've seen bones. I've only heard about them. They're in K'un Lun if I remember it right.
