[ At any point, people might spot this little guy. While it's always with Akira, there's a chance someone will get a shin tap or any other obvious show of affection, whenever Akira walks over.

[ The clinic is currently closed to all non-emergency cases. But the treatment area itself is still closed off from anyone not in the process of treating patients, for the sake of keeping that area as sanitary as possible / available for said emergency cases.

Akira is perpetually grateful to have Noël, honestly… Thanks to him, he is now able to make curry - and he will be encouraging people to try this, in the event they ask about it. It’s not quite like what he could make at Leblanc, but it’s close enough that it may or may not taste like something straight out of a restaurant. But, for those who aren’t big on spicy (and… yes, it’s very spicy, which he will warn for), there are hotdogs, fruit, and various pastries.

Another blessing from Noël, is coffee beans. So there is plenty of coffee with proper sugar, creamer, etc. For anyone not big on coffee, however, there is tea, juice, and water.

Everyone is heavily encourage to chow down – Akira will be mentioning the food to people as they arrive, and everything is set up on a counter. There’s a dining area towards the back of the clinic, where everyone can sit down to chat and eat.

The entirety of the clinic is currently 100% soundproof, so some talking is allowed here. Akira will discourage high volume chatting, since there will occasionally be patients within the clinic (yes, the emergency area is on the opposite side, but y'know). ]

[ After everything that’s going to be eaten is eaten, he will begin putting everything away. If anyone offers to help, he’ll give them a job to tend to. It will be anything from putting food away to doing dishes.

There’s nothing particularly exciting about cleaning, but people are welcome to team up to complete or mess up at a task. Messes made while trying to clean up happens to the best of us. And breaking things is possible. ]

[ A quiet exhale escapes, and he moves to sit down next to Akechi, leaning so his cheek is propped against one loosely curled fist.

Have a... very brief... pat to the back, detective. He isn't sure whether to feel impressed (this time) or just plain sorry for you. ]

[Slowly, at the back pat, he raises his head, face still flushed from the curry... when he spies the milk.

Have you ever seen anyone down an entire glass of milk in one go, Akira? Now you have.]

[ Sooooo, he's just going to watch for now, eyebrows lifted. Going to come up for air, Akech- ... oh. Okay.

Looks like he's just... going to finish this all in one go.

Should he... should he get him more?

Sweat... drop... ]

[He sets the glass down quietly, letting out a sigh of relief as he leans back in his seat.

He thought he was going to die!]

[ He's... hiding a smile behind a cup of coffee now... ]

Are you okay?

[ After softly clearing his throat, he lowers the cup. ]

I was going to warn you that it was super spicy. Sorry that I didn't get the chance in time.

Somehow, I managed to survive...

[He lets out a breath, then blinks in realization and looks at the cup he just drained.]

Where'd you get milk?

I can't help wondering why you continue to eat it, even as you're past your limit...

I got the milk from Noël, though. He helped with almost all of the ingredients.

anyway,] Noel... I have to admit, his identity caught me by surprise.

[ HMMMMM...... ]

Ah... I see. You weren't responding, because you were distracted by how amazing it was, right?

[ It's... gentle teasing?? But, he's quickly moving on. ]

When he first told me who he was, I actually didn't believe him at all.

I'm not sure "amazing" is the qualifier I'd use.

[...but Akira does make good curry, he'll admit that.]

And same. But who else would seriously claim to being Santa Claus if he wasn't actually him? [A pause.] ... "a" Santa Claus. [It's still weird to think there are multiple... even though it makes a bit more sense than one person being responsible for the entire world. If only marginally.]

Ah... Does that mean you were scarfing it down so you could avoid tasting it as much as possible?

[ He very obviously feigns a wince, hand momentarily pressing to his chest within a bit of a deadpan. But, as for who would seriously claim being Santa........ ]

I claimed to be a magician when I got here. [ akira... ] And, honestly? I considered that he might be crazy.

[ SHRUG. ]

Until I realized I might have to be the crazy one for doubting that anything's possible, at this point.

[... a touch of an amused smile at that. What a drama queen...

...and he remembers the magician thing, too. He'd realized what Akira was doing in the past, but he hadn't really... cared. His self-preservation, his self-loathing were so heavy that he couldn't think to keep his powers a secret weapon.

In hindsight... perhaps he should have at least stayed quiet for Kurusu's sake. Especially since there are dangerous people here.]

There's hardly anything crazy for expecting some level of normalcy. It's one thing to be taken to another world, and another completely for a legend to become reality.

[ He doesn't miss that smile; it's kind of nice to see one of those on his damn face again, with it being genuine this time around. ]

Fair enough. I think what I was really looking for, is "willfully ignorant," anyway. There's also "close-minded."

[ Because that? Both of those? Could be used to describe when someone's surrounded by things of fiction ( and otherwise ), yet refusing to be more accepting of it. Dimly, that reminds him a little of how Ryuji had been towards... a lot of things. ]

... I have to admit, "crazy" has a better ring to it, in this case.

[Isn't it nice? The relaxed atmosphere, and the light banter? It's almost like things are... back to what they once were. Speaking of normalcy... this feels startlingly close to what normal should be.]

[ His lips twitch in amusement. ]

By the way, there's something I was wanting to show you.

[ A hum. ]

Actually, make that two things. Come with me.

[He blinks at Akira curiously, getting up from his spot. Though, at the very least, he'll clean his dishes quickly and set them to dry before turning and nodding to Akira.]

[ That earns a nod of appreciation - the dishes, that is.

Once that's out of the way, Akira's crooking a finger to gesture, one corner of his lips curled up just a bit as he leads him out of the clinic, and right on over to their house.

He won't stop, even after they're inside. There's a pause as he rests a hand on the doorway that leads into his bedroom. He gestures quietly with a nod, a small... almost gently playful grin on his lips, before heading right on inside.

The door is wide open, of course; Akechi is free to look inside to see that Akira's peering into a... box? But, it's what's inside the box that will likely be most important, the second the older teen's eyes land on them.

Two small, just-shy-of-being-baby rabbits! One mostly black, the other mostly white. Come pet the bunnies, Akechi. ]

[The reaction when he sees the bunnies is immediate; his face absolutely melts, completely involuntarily. Babies...

Slowly, he sits on Akira's bed, eyes wide in awe and adoration of the little balls of fur, before he looks up at Akira for a moment, then back at the buns, and... he reaches inside, slowly, to pet one.

He's never pet a bunny before, and it's so soft and warm. He's completely and utterly mesmerized. They're... they're so small...]

[ He's never seen an expression quite like that on Goro Akechi's face before, and he damn sure isn't complaining. Akira's own expression softens as he watches the older teen pet one of them.

Well, at least he seems fond of them? A good start. ]

I found them super late one night, in the clinic. They were injured... so I think they were hiding in there. No idea how they got in, but I'm glad they did.

[ It's a nice coincidence? Anyway... ]

Want to help take care of them? I might even let you name one.

[ There's the hint of a teasing air to his hand movements with the last part. ]

["Fond of", did you mean, "He will literally kill for these bunnies"?

He looks up to see Akira signing, and his gaze wilts a little at the words. Oh no... though, he lights up a bit again at the request.

He signs with his free hand.]

Of course. Have they fully recovered yet?

[ No, he means, "Please find some chill on that whole murder-y thing."

He can't blame the dimming of his expression, but he also can't confirm or deny with a simple gesture of his head. So, he holds up a finger to indicate "hold on" before reaching to carefully pick up the one Akechi is petting.

Very slowly, he holds her out for Akechi to properly take, even demonstrating how he's learned that she prefers being held. ]

She wasn't hurt beyond a cut, as far as I could tell. If anything, it seemed like she mostly just didn't want to leave his side.

[ He looks to the white one, and then very gently reaches out to pet the boy's head - the bunny's eyes close. He seems more interested in just... sitting there, honestly. ]

This one is still healing. My spells don't seem to be doing much for him, unfortunately...

[ His gaze averts for a moment, but he smiles. ]

You know I was planning to give you one from the start, right?

[I don't think you understand what it means to be Goro Akechi, Akira.

His eyes widen at that, and carefully he mimics his movements so that he can hold her. His breath actually audibly catches. This might be one of the best days of his life?

He stares at the little bun in his hands for a moment, then blinks up at Akira, and looks over to the white one, gaze softening in sympathy. Poor things...

When Akira signs those next words, though... his eyes widen, just staring for a moment. After a bit, he signs with his unoccupied hand, just a tad hesitantly:]

Really? Are you sure?

[ He understands that Goro Akechi needs to chill on the murder???? Although, he is doing super great with that right now. Akira's smiling softly at the expression on the older teen's face. It's... a really nice look for him.

There's a nod. ]

Positive. [ reaching out, his fingers brushing over the female bunny's back for a moment ] She's yours.

[ Something teasing enters his expression now. ]

Guess I should have showed you the other thing first, since I'm not sure it will begin to compare to this, for you.
