Dr. Santa Claus, MD
Featuring: Akechi Goro, Noël Christenbell
What's happening: Noël comes to take a look at Akira's clinic and see what he can do to help; Akechi catches him "delivering presents" the way so many little kids dream they could.
What day: February 28th
CW: None yet!
[It's early evening when Noël arrives at the clinic, with a roughly stitched cross-body tote bag made out of a curtain slung over his shoulder. He takes a moment to paint the hinges with fresh oil, then moves on to a window, peering inside. He doesn't see anyone from where he's standing.....
Well, that's not too surprising; Akira is probably still in bed recovering. Noël pulls out his device, still framed by the window as he starts searching for his screen name. As long as he can message the guy to let him in so he can look around, it doesn't matter if Akira goes right back to bed after.]

Not right now. [... he seems alright, based on the previous interaction he's had with him.] You can come in if you want.
[......... also, what does he have slung over his shoulder? Is that... a tote bag? What... is that fabric?]
no subject
Should I just wait then?
no subject
[Akechi gives a mild shrug.]
It's not a very large building. It shouldn't take long for you to acclimate yourself to it.
no subject
[Akechi's obviously familiar enough with the place to suit his purposes, and it's not like he's probably going to start working right away with Akira still down and out. Making sure he knows where everything is, maybe checking the supply levels, that should be about enough for the time being.]
jfc this is what i get for not looking back to my last tag... akechi was signing not texting, smh
And commence a tour of this place... the general locations of things— apparently Akechi is fairly acclimated already, though it's obvious he's not completely familiar, as some particular things do take some searching.
They end up at the supply room.]
Here's the supply room. Though our supplies are rather limited, at the moment.
no subject
He supposes it makes sense, though--Akira uses healing magic, right? He's not an herbalist or anything like that. Of course he'd probably have to rely on what someone else makes. Still..... it's probably better to have some ingredients waiting, just in case someone knowledgeable and skilled with medicine does come along.]
I may not be a pharmacist, but I can at least help with that. Do you know what you need?
no subject
So he looks back to the supplies, scanning over them, listing them off as he goes.]
Pain killers. Cough medicine and drops. Anxiety medication, thermometers, gauze...
no subject
Hadn't that bag been flat and empty only seconds ago?
That gets set down, and he reaches in again. This time, it's a large box with colorful decorations already printed (or painted?) on it; opening the lid will reveal rolls of tightly packed bandages to wrap dressings with. Next will be a pair of jars full of cotton balls and squares of gauze.....]
no subject
... produces... an entire jug? With a ribbon around it?
What...
He blinks at the jug a few times, then looks at the bag. Certainly, he would have heard sloshing around if an entire jug was in there, let alone noticed the shape? ... maybe it's one of those optical illusion things with that pattern he has going on there...
His gaze follows the laudanum, then comes back up as he pulls out—
a large.. decorated... box.
His eyebrows jump up this time, watching him set it down. He blinks at the two items, then looks back at the bag.
After a few moments of gaping, he hesitantly signs:]
Are you some sort of magician?
[... though the items in question seem particularly— festive.
Wait.
... a large sack... items that are decorated and wrapped...—ahaha, it must be a coincidence.]
no subject
Sure. I use magic all the time.
no subject
He kneels down, then, to open the box to find the bandages inside.
He carefully sets the lid off and signs.]
Did you... create this? Or had it stored away in some sort of...
[Ah, there's not a word for that, he doesn't think... he brings out his device.]
Some sort of inter-dimensional space?
no subject
[If what they want is esoteric enough, it'd be ridiculous to assume he goes out and has to find something suitable to buy, or has all the equipment and know-how to make presents by hand. There's an enormous variety of things in the world that people could want, how would he have the skills to handle all of those possibilities?]
no subject
...but he's... he's not much older than he is, right? ... still...]
I don't think I ever did get your name.
no subject
[It's sudden enough to prompt a bit of an eyebrow raise, but he supposes it was kind of rude to just stroll in without introducing himself..... He'll hold out a hand for a shake.]
no subject
He hesitantly takes the hand with his right, giving a weak handshake and freeing up his left to write.]
Would you happen to be some sort of a Christmas spirit, then?
no subject
No, I'm just a Santa Claus. I'm in charge of Europe.
no subject
I'm sorry?
[???????????]
no subject
no subject
You're "a" Santa Claus in charge of Europe? There are multiple? And you look... nothing like what most people would think of as Santa Claus.
[He's not doubting you, he's just very confused????
.... he's doubting you a little]
no subject
If we're all alive and accounted for, there are nine of us at a time. There used to be just one, but he needed multiple successors. The appearance everyone thinks of is just a fabrication ignorant adults decided to spread for their own use. At best, maybe one of my predecessors looked like that, but I doubt it. Next?
[Go on, get it out of your system.]
no subject
Oh.
[He's so stunned he actually wrote out "Oh."
And he— suddenly feels like he's in the confessional at church all over again, meek and small and shamed. Here is, in front of Santa Claus— a... Santa Claus... someone whose job it is to explicitly distinguish the good children from the bad.
And he's well aware where he falls over that line.
Haha... at least he doesn't know, right? He's... in charge of Europe.]
I'm from Japan, but [What should he say? It's an honor? No, no, that doesn't feel quite right... but, a tiny smile edges its way onto his face, completely of its own volition.] I admit, I had wished before that Santa Claus were real.
no subject
[Noël just shrugs at that; there's really no way to tell unless he met a colleague from another world entirely, given the way adults shamelessly make shit up for their own purposes. Unless someone can give testimony that they met him, like Sora can, or the guys themselves come..... well, it's nearly impossible to tell.]
no subject
[He never got any presents, but then, he was a terrible kid, so that wasn't great evidence.]
Thank you, for the supplies. Is there anything you'd like in return?
no subject
Don't worry about it, Akira and I made an arrangement. I provide supplies and ingredients periodically, and get my meals here.
[And work here too, but that's kind of a separate thing. At least in Reims he's getting paid for his services in something a little more substantial than milk and cookies.]
no subject
Ingredients, as well? Is there a limit to what you can create?
