1 -- shout, let it all out (open log)
Featuring: tetora (nishizono) and anybody!
What's happening: soundproofing people's houses, open to prompts, do whatever floats your boat
Day/s: the whole of march
Content warning: profane/nsfw language, possible graphic depictions/narrations of violencei. soundproofing shenanigans
[ tetora was given, in exchange for his knives and other items, a task to do — soundproofing maintenance. it's an easy enough job, if tedious, but tetora hates owing people anything as much as he hates being chased, and he hates being chased a lot. so work it is — tetora sets out, door to door, and waits for residents to notice him before he gets to work.
if you find someone randomly loitering at your doorstep at some point this month? it's this guy, and he's here to protect your house from noise. ]
ii. wildcard!
[ leave me a prompt and i'll roll with it! for suggestions and questions, contact me through pm, discord (lucxy#3832), orsuperdick. ]

[ tetora offers a grin at majima over the statement, too; staying out of trouble is hard when trouble finds one wherever one goes, and it can be a gigantic pain in the ass when that happens.
the food looks good too. it's what tetora came here for, and boy did majima deliver - the fish is that color that edges white on pink, just tender enough to be cooked but still fresh on the tongue. tetora's a heathen, so he scoops up the lettuce with the first slice of fish and bites into it, taking a huge chunk of the impromptu wrap as he does.
and it tastes as good as it looks. ]
okay i'm annoyed now

[ Hey, eating things ssam-style, good call Tetora. You were secretly a gourmet after all!
In fact, Majima was going to take a page from his book, though he bothered to take smaller bites. ]

[ never trust a man who can cook, but if you're the marrying type... or something, there's an anecdotal story about men and their ways around a kitchen. not that tetora's the marrying type at all, but it's been a day for new experiences. he's a little out of depth here. ]
i'm angry.

[ The majority of the compliments received were backhanded, so it was always nice to get one straight-out like that. Particularly if it came from someone like Tetora, from whom genuine compliments were rarer than most. ]
Maybe I should learn more about this shit, too. Now that it's just me, can't switch off cooking duty with any housemates.
[ And Majima had become accustomed to being spoiled during his time in Sotenbori. All those restaurants, man. But if he knew how to make more of his own food... ]

[ clearly, given his cooking skills include not burning water and frying eggs, and... that's about it. gods bless fast food and take-away, right? tetora appreciates this skill because it's one he's not gifted with from the get-go.
still annoying though. ]
teach me when you find the time.
[ he's actually asking. not, you know. the other thing. ]
no subject
Anyway, whattaya mean you never had any? Don't you live in shared housing? Or they just never around?
[ Look, not burning water wasn't bad! It was... a start... ]
...now that ya mention it, I hope Will and Mike are fine by themselves. They ain't managed to burn the house down yet, so that's something.

grew up in a lab, literally and figuratively. after that it was in and out of juvenile detention centers, and then just squatting in other people's homes until i came back to japan.
long story.
will and mike will make it fine, honestly. those kids know more about housekeeping than i do.
no subject
Okay, I gotta ask.
The fuck were they tryin' to do, experimenting on ya and keepin' you locked up like that?
no subject
i'm the experiment.
remember when i said i can read people's minds if i touch them?
they made me like that.
i didn't want to stay as their pet, so i ran away.
i haven't stopped running.

What a brilliant fucking idea, let's raise a kid in a lab. We won't teach him how to make curry, but we'll give him psychic powers and a dependence on anxiety medication. What could possibly go wrong?
Bet it took a lotta doctorates to answer that question.
no subject
but yeah, it took them no time to get to testing their science that they didn't stop to think about whether or not they fucking should, you know?
so i fucked them up.
and i'll keep fucking them up until there are none of them left.
no subject
And what kind of yakuza couldn't appreciate some ice cold Revengeance (TM)? ]
Think you're gonna be alive at the end of it?
[ I mean. Tetora was probably the best judge of his own chances of survival here. ]
no subject
[ that's as much an admittance of mortality as anything. the honesty that propels the statement is rooted in a lack of foresight, in part, for what lay ahead. he doesn't expect to live, pure and simple, when things are done.
tetora sits back on his heels on the floor, wiping the back of his hand across his mouth. ]
i'll be lucky if it just ends there.
no subject
[ Not exactly an appetizing proposition there, but if Tetora was some kind of prized experiment, it wouldn't be so strange to imagine that they'd want him back. Regardless of his state of living or nonliving. ]
no subject
nuke 'em all to fuckin' pieces if he could. ]
i know they'll try. i'm not human; the rules of decency don't apply to me.
no subject
[ Somehow they'd never had this conversation, go figure.
Tetora... looked pretty human? Two arms, two legs, seemed to bleed normal human blood. Sure, he might have come with some extras, but. ]
no subject
i'm a clone.
like that fucking dolly the sheep, only i'm way fucking better.
they don't see me as human because technically, i'm not.
humans have parents, humans are born, humans don't come equipped with technology embedded in their genetics from the get-go.
so, no.
i'm not human.
i don't want to be one, either, because the a lot of humans i've met back home are full of shit, and i don't want any part of that.
no subject
So that's what you were worried about when I first ran into ya. Runnin' into another clone.
[ Majima still remembered that bizarre moment when Tetora had revealed that one of his eyes bore a tattooed marking. There were plenty of weirdos tooling around here, but that had been a new one. ]
Your brother's a clone, too?
no subject
yeah, shinji's like me.
he's a straight up motherfucker who started all of the shit that's cascaded on me and i fucking hate him.
if he ever shows up here i'm gonna fucking kill him with my bare hands. i
ll keep killing him until it sticks.
no subject
Well, from one former prisoner to another...
Whatever ya do, don't let 'em toss you back in the fuckin' hole.
[ He didn't know Shinji from anyone else on the street, but it'd be hypocritical of him to try and talk Tetora down from his heartfelt desire to wipe someone off the face of God's green Earth. ]
no subject
amen to that.
don't get jailed again, too, uncle jim.
no subject
Finally: ]
Wasn't a civilian prison. Only time I actually went to one of those was to get some info outta a guy spendin' the night there.
no subject
did you spend too much time there?
no subject
[ Majima's expression was bitter, but there was no remorse to be found there. His only real regret was that his time there had prevented him from finding out what had happened to Taiga. ]
Anyway, it's not really like what you went through. All they wanted outta me by the end was seein' if I was gonna break. But if they caught you, they might use you to make even more kids like ya, right?
no subject
[ there's a short lull, as tetora mulls over how to approach the question majima just asked. telling the truth is always his preference, but... ]
let's table that question for another day. this is depressing enough.
